Preliminary Studies on Cloud Computing and Meteorological Data Processing

Cloud computing was proposed as a new calculation model based on grid computing, is the core technology of the next-generation network platform. It provides a reliable safety data storage, convenient Internet service and powerful computing capability. For the meteorological department, cloud computing may become future basic platform of meteorological data processing and analysis. Simultaneously, it puts forward new ideas of the development for meteorological resources.
