Spectral Efficiency of Adaptive Transmission in Urban Microcellular Networks
Fuyong Xu · 2002
The area spectral efficiency of fully loaded cellular radio communication systems with variable-rate transmission is investigated. Monte Carlo simulations are developed to estimate the impact of user location ,lognormal shadowing and Nakagami multipath fading on the area spectral efficiency for average interference conditions, and comparison of the average area spectral efficiency with the area spectral efficiency of the worst and best interference configurations is also studied.
