A Synthetic Method for Situation Assessment Based on Fuzzy Logic and D-S Evidential Theory

The analysis of the battlefield situations is the basis of command decision. Situation assessment is one of the most important components in C~4ISR data fusion systems. In this paper, intrinsic characteristic and reasoning mode of the situation assessment are analyzed and a synthetic method based on fuzzy logic and D\|S evidential theory is presented. In this way a solving model of analysis, reasoning and prediction for situation assessment is constructed. The model can find the potential relation between situation hypothesis and events, thus supporting the decision making.
