Substation supervisory and control system based on component model and multi-tier database

On the basis of the component model and multi-tier database technologies, a software system for substation supervisory and control is developed in this paper. It is more extendable, scalable, flexible, maintainable and reliable, and has the ability to supply database functionalities for other intelligent software systems. The database and the interface are separated, so that the consistency of supervisory information and control information is guaranteed effectively. Supporting distributed running, multi-clients operation and browser serrice, the software system meets the requirements of the substation automation.
