Practice of Operation and Maintenance Management of HIS Based on ITIL

Objective To construct the secure operation environment for HIS(Hospital Information System) so as to guarantee that the medical work can be done in good order.Methods In accordance with the practical situation of the hospital and quality management methods of PDCA(Plan,Do,Check,Action),continuous improvement of operation and maintenance management procedures in HIS are made in the computer center of Beijing Shijitan Hospital based on ITIL(Information Technology Infrastructure Library) service management standards.Results The efficiency of operation and maintenance management is improved,which prevents serious security incidents from occurring to the HIS.Conclusion With application of proper management methods in operation and maintenance management of HIS,work efficiency and utilization of HIS get highly enhanced so as to ensure the medical work is done in good order.
