The paper analyzes the situation of research,production and application of protein foam extinguishing agent,synthetic foam extinguishing agent,as well as several new types of foam extinguishing agent.And the development status of basic foam extinguishing agents and new foam fire extinguishing agent are also introduced.The future development direction of Chinese new type foam fire extinguishing agent are put forward,which has reference function to the research and development,the application and popularization of foam extinguishing agent.
