The Measurement Of Power Based On Wavelet Transform
Cheng Zheng-xin · 2004
In this paper, we present a new approach of using the wavelet transform to measure power, which increases the precision and speed of the measure of power. The advantage of using the wavelet transform data directly is that it provides the distribution of the power and energy with respect to the individual frequency bands associated with each level of the wavelet analysis. The voltage and current signals of different frequency are separated into various wavelet levels with IIR filter polyphase network. Each associated v-i product subband represents the contribution of this band to the total v-i element average power or cycle energy.
