Analysis and Improvement for TCP Performance in Ad-hoc Networks

Rong Chen · Microelectronics & Computer · 2007

This paper analyses the reasons that cause poor TCP performance in Ad-hoc networks, and proposes a parameter optimization scheme against the multi-hops characteristic of Ad-hoc networks. The proposed scheme can reduce the pressure of channel contention by increasing the minimum Contention Window in MAC layer. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can improve the TCP performance efficiently.
