Recovery-on-demand method in device-based backup system

A method of data recovery on demand in device-based backup system is presented.This method which supports data recovery on demand,such as device-level,block-level and file-level recovery,overcomes the limitation of only device-level recovery in device-based backup system.The method is implemented by virtual device technology which can be universal.The design and implementation of virtual device technology are introduced in details.
