An reliable algorithm of constructing application layer multicast tree

Application layer multicast(ALM) sends packets to group members by the spanning tree.When one or more nodes fail,the downstream nodes cannot receive packets,which makes the system become fragile.Aming at this problem,an reliable algorithm of constructing ALM tree is proposed.It makes use of the fact that ALM tree nodes' lifetime demonstrates a heavy-tailed distribution,dynamically builds and adjusts ALM tree.As a result,relatively stable nodes will eventually be colse to the source node.Simulation results show that the algorithm can significantly improve the reliablity of ALM.
