This paper focuses on the lightning protection principle and the calculation method has made the detailed elaboration.Based on the protection scope between calculation,analysis of protection area of lightning rod in the reasonable method.Design departments or units to verify operation of lightning rod protection range usually adopts manual calculation and drawing method,this paper is on the basis of this,put forward to the lightning protection for computer aided analysis.The use of MATLAB design of lightning protection for graphical display and auxiliary analysis,the method is simple,practical,intuitive display effect,compared with the traditional hand drawing is a new breakthrough.
