The method of thermal calculation in the heat pipe exchanger design based on Visual Basic(VB) technique was introduced.With the help of the menu customization technique and the dialogue box technique of VB,the complex thermal calculation can be completed simply.Illustrated by an engineering example,it has proved that the method can figure out various parameters and analyze their effects on heat pipe exchanger quickly and accurately.It has certain significance of the process calculation in the heat pipe exchanger and a good prospect.
