Establishment of a new practical maxillofacial database system

Objective To establish a Maxillofacial Database System(MDS) which can preciously record trauma information and clinical treatments in detail.Methods The MDS was based on Adaptive Server Anywhere 8 and was developed by PowerBuilder 9.0 software.An interface was developed to import data from No.1 Military Medical Project.Results The main modules of the MDS were finished,which contained multiple score systems and could import multimedia files.Data on patient's information could be successfully imported from No.1 Military Medical Project System.Conclusion The MDS pays more attention to the whole process of medial affairs,integrates with the hospital information system,and solves the problem of multimedia files management.
