DOA Estimation Method for WCDMA Communication System

In this paper, a high-accuracy DOA estimation method is proposed for WCDMA system with multiusers and multipath propagation. The proposed method of DOA estimation is based on the computation of the phase shift between a known reference signal and its phase-shifted version. Since DOA estimation is after interference reduction, the effect of co-channel interference is significantly reduced. As compared with conventional subspace and eigendecomposition-based DOA estimation methods, the proposed method has the advantages of low-complexity and high-accuracy. Simulation results have proved this.
