Discussion on overall conception of automation system for intelligent hydropower stations

Associated with ongoing research projects, the paper discusses the overall goals, general construction principles and overall structure of the automation systems in intelligent hydropower stations as well as intelligence of condition-based maintenance system and information unified platform. The economic operation, intelligent dispatch and relationship between automation systems are discussed also. The construction and transformation schemes for intelligent hydropower stations are put forward for reference.
