In the designing of distributed streaming media proxy cache structure, it needs to pay attention to two major aspects of how to save network bandwidth and improve the hit rate. A dynamic segmentation strategy of streaming media (SDD) is presented, which is not only taking into account the different bandwidth and network users, but also the differences between the various media, and aims at dynamic segmentation and caching. Analysis shows that the strategy is widely applicable to the majority of users of different network bandwidth, which not only help to improve the hit rate request, but also have a good efficiency in the utilization of the proxy cache.
