Research on Relation between Overlap Rate and Overlap Angle in Ad Hoc Network-covered Field

The overlap rate in Ad Hoc network-covered field is an important index parameter in describing network topo-logy,and network topology plays an important role in improving network performance.In this paper,the relation between overlap rate and overlap angle in coverage region is discussed from the geometrical view.In Ad Hoc networks covered by equal diameter circles,the overlap rate and overlap angle in coverage region are in a one to one mathematical function relationship.When the topology is constituted of 6 circles,the overlap rate is 5 percent,and when the topology is constituted of 4 circles,the overlap rate is 18 percent.In Ad Hoc networks covered by non-equalization diameter circles,the overlap rate is determined by the radius of both circles and their overlap angle as well.
