A Survey on Image Segmentation Techniques of Image Retrieval

The image segmentation,which is the first essential and fundamental issue in the image analysis and pattern recognition,is a classical difficult problem in the image processing.This paper discusses systematically on the segmentation techniques of image retrieval,and analyzes on the merits and demerits of each method,the color layout and unsupervised segmentation are given more discussed.
