An Ontology-Based and Agent-Based Grid Service Discovery Mechanism

Many different grid services are distributed in dynamic grid computing environments.The key factors affecting the performance of grid computing is to perform grid service discovery quickly and accurately.The paper proposes an ontology-based and agent-based grid service discovery mechanism which features good expansibility and integrity.The model adopts the agent technique to search services,and different agents provide different ontology knowledge bases of different virtual organizations.In addition,it uses the semantics of ontology to finish service matching,and achieves an intelligent service discovery.
