A new MAC protocol for wireless sensor networks named LD-MAC was designed in this article. It solves the latency problem on S-MAC protocol of WSNs.This protocol adopts the method of reserving multi-hop path in advance can realizes fast forwarding the data packet and reduces the delay of the data packet in the net. Therefore, the node sleeping early at some extent can be avoided. At the same time, the energy consumption of the node will be lower due to the fast forwarding the data packet. Finally, the simulation results show that LD-MAC can solve the conflict efficiently.
