Application of GPS level elevation in engineering survey

The height system applied in the engineering surveying was briefly discussed in this paper.It was stated that the principle and application of the combination of GPS and leveling surveying.The research area locates in the road section of Xining Airport.The results of the two different methods were compared.It is concluded that the results derived from the GPS were more reliable than those from level.And the further improvement of the GPS precision was proposed.
