The Research on the Optimal Algorithm of Circuits Based on the Gene Expression Program Design

This paper presents an optimized algorithm for circuits based on the gene expression program design in consideration of the characteristics of the CLB (Control logic block) matrix of FPGA in the family of Xilinx Virtex-Ⅱ and the capacity of each control logic block to realize the logic function of one-output and two-inputs. The chromosomes consist of logic unit matrixes connected linearly, its hereditary operations include mutation and hybridization and its adaptability is evaluated with the truth table.The algorithm proves to enable a more optimized circuit architecture than those realized by the traditional algorithm.
