A Design of Flash Replacement Based on SOC

A design of flash on chip replacement was presented. Without changing old FLASH control logic, the introduction of conversion logic realizes the replace of flash because it can convert the interface's function and time between original control interface and new flash IP. The using of existing successful design also reduces the risk of the replacement. The results of simulation show the output of the transition logic meets the requirement of the new FLASH IP on interface function and time. The design has been applied to a flash replacement based on a SOC.
