An initial ranging detection algorithm of multi-antenna system for IEEE 802.16e

To solve the problem of initial ranging detection w hi ch does not combine the features of multi-antennas communication system, based on the analysis of some traditional multi-antenna, an initial ranging detection algorithm on IEEE 802.16e combining time and frequency domains was proposed. Th e algorithm can detect the value of user's time bias, deal with the multi-anten na data separately in terms of channel condition, and in this way, it not only makes use of multi-antenna diversity gain to the largest extent, but also avoids larger detect error from this gain, playing a role of inhibiting multi-path fading. Simulation results showed that under the multi-path fading channel condition, this algorithm achieved high-speed mobile communications while keeping better detection performance than traditional detection methods.
