Texture-preserving Shadow Removal from Single Image

This paper proposes a novel model for shadow removal,especially for the soft shadows.This model preserves the original texture of the image.It changes the image space to a convenient one.The method formulates the problem of finding the boundary of penumbra region as an optimization problem,and then removes the shadows.Experimental results show the effectiveness of the algorithm.
