Android Software Certification System for Cable Operators

The development situation of digital TV set-top box(STB) is reviewed,and a survey of the Android STB is made in this paper.To ensure the accuracy,reliability and security of the data during the install and upgrade of Android STB software,dual-key encryption algorithm is introduced.In allusion to the problem that cable operators can't strictly control the software download and install conducted by Android STB users,a novel scheme of android software certification system based on the digital signature technique is proposed.The results show that this scheme is practical and effective.It provides a more safe and reliable solution for cable operators to control the intelligent terminal software of Android STB.
