Development and Accomplishment of a Database Application System(DAS) for runner channel of Francis turbine is presented in the paper . During development , geometry size of runner channel of Francis turbine is determined by standard theory , mode analysis method and E-R approach to obtain the concept mode of database for runner channel of Francis turbine and abstract the typical basic data structure . Based on the characteristics of basic data structure and requirement of data access , application software for database for runner channel of Francis turbine is developed . Runner channel is plotted by the software in accordance with actual requirements during optimization design of runner of Francis turbine .
