ASDZP:New regional strategy for adaptive MANET service discovery
Xinyou Zhang · Journal of Computer Applications · 2010
To improve the stability and efficiency of the service discovery in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks(MANET),the characteristics of the existing adaptive zone protocols were analyzed, and a new regional strategy for adaptive MANET service discovery was proposed. This method regulated the radius of service discovery zone according to the average stability and activity of nodes in the zone, reducing the number of the unstable nodes and improving the proportion of the service nodes in the zone. The ability of overall regional service was enhanced. Results of the formulas and simulation indicate the strategy provides better performance than the traditional service discovery based on Zone routing Protocol(ZRP) in terms of control overhead and energy consumption, and decreases the average delay effectively.
