EEG Analysis of Emotional Event Based on Dimensional Complexity

Li Zhao · Journal of Dalian Jiaotong University · 2012

The dimensional complexity of emotional change of the EEG is analyzed.By using the algorithm of Grassberger-Procaccia,the correlation dimension is calculated to obtain changes of the dimensional complexity, and different correlation dimension values are achieved associated with emotional changes by the auditory provocative test on 20 healthy adult males.By analyzing θ-kwave,it is found that the correlation dimensional values of listening to unpleasant music are higher than the ones listening to pleasant music. The correlation dimension value of the left hemisphere is lower than that of the one the right hemisphere when listening to unpleasant music, while the correlation dimension value of the left hemisphere is higher than the right hemisphere when listening to pleasant music.
