Algorithm and architecture for the adaptive image scaling

In this paper,a new kind of adaptive image scaling algorithms is presented.The algorithms analyze the block pattern of an image and thus detect the edge information.The image parts which contain the edge information will be applied the directional interpolation,while other parts will be applied bilinear interpolation.Hardware architecture which implements the algorithms is also described.
