Application of Geographical Information System in Water Environmental Management of Huainan City

Application of geographical information system in water environmental management of Huainan City was studied in this paper.The result shows that Huainan City water environmental management information system supported by GIS is able to perform the function of data input,data storage,data management,data query and data analysis,making the connection between spatial data and attributive data come true.It had many advantages,such as friendly interface,audiovisual image,easy operation and maintenance etc.By which advanced ways of environmental management are also provided.
