Effects of Drug Targets in Developing Novel Drug

Drug target refers to those specific molecules in cells of tissue which interact with drug and make it produce expected effects.Most of them are proteins,such as some receptors,enzymes and so on.In recent years,with the advanced development in molecular biology,especially the researches in human genome and proteomics,drug target has acted as important roles in developing novel drug.This article reviews the drug target's discovery,drug design based on targets,as well as prospects in developing novel drug.
