On-Line Problem of Dealing with Accident Products and Its Competitive Algorithms

In this paper, we propose and study the problem of dealing with accident product. And the goal is to decide how to cope with the problem products in an on-line way, namely, without knowing to what extent the product is damaged. And then two competitive strategies, Preferential Return-Repair Strategy Ⅰ(PRRS Ⅰ) and Preferential Return-Repair Strategy Ⅱ(PRRS Ⅱ) have been given, and their competitive ratios obtained. Finally, two alternative competitive algorithms for this problem are compared.
