Based on VB6.0, ACCESS2000 and SQL language, this paper designs some breech mechanism failure information database system. Although the system is charactered by small volume and simple technology considering practicability, it can complete traditional database system functions such as key-important-parts?judgment and analysis very well, more important, it can also analyze complex relations among failure phenomena, failure modes and failure reasons —that was called failure tree analysis. It can be referred when similar database system was built.
