Research on Internet Video Streaming System

The fluctuant QoS(Quality of Service)of Internet presents great challenges to design and implement the Internet real-time video streaming system.Based on the end-system,the authors propose an end-to-end Internet video streaming architecture and a rate adaptive video sureaming protocol(SAVSP),and a packet loss rate algorithm based on Gilbert Model is also put forward in this paper.Experiments show that the video streaming architecture is practical,and the SAVSP protocol outperforms the prevalent AIMD protocol.
