Applications of transformation of structural mesh into non-nstructural mesh

Min Zhang · Journal of Zhejiang University of Technology · 2006

The transformation of structured meshes to unstructured meshes is a branch of mesh generation technology.By means of this transformation, the advantage of the fast convergence of the structural grid and that of the broad adaptation to the sophisticated boundaries of the non-structural grid can both be sustained simultaneously. Moreover,it also widens the application of the computation program encoded with the non-structural mesh. The models of the transformations between the orthogonal meshes and body-fitted meshes are presented in this paper.A heat conduction equation is solved by using the method of the based cell the finite volume and the format of the secondary order accuracy.A couple of three-dimension examples of heat conduction that included different geometries and boundary conditions are finally supplied to verify the feasibility and validation of the proposed transformation.
