Analysis and Improvement of Access Control in OpenLDAP

OpenLDAP is an important directory service software,which is widely used on Internet.Some deficiency in OpenLDAP's access control mechanism makes it unsuitable for large-scale,distributed network applications.To make any improvement,an analysis of OpenLDAP's access control mechanism cannot be avoided.This paper advanced the state of art by giving such an analysis.Based on the analysis,improvement was made to enable the dynamic modification of access control rules and the role based access control in OpenLDAP.
