Implementation and Application of an ORDBMS-based Spatiotemporal Database System

The extended approach to implementing spatiotemporal database system is investigated on ORDBMS.Our approach is based on the spatiotemporal data model called STORM,which is founded on the object-relational data model.Besides,the application of the spatiotemporal database system on a real spatiotemporal application named CHGIS is discussed.The experimental result shows the ORDBMS-based spatiotemporal database system can support both the effective storage of spatiotemporal data and the spatiotemporal data access of client spatiotemporal applications.
