Research on semantic model construction method oriented to heterogeneous database integration

Traditional tightly-coupled integration method was devoid of sufficient scalability and semantic representation.To solve the problem,a semantic model construction method was proposed which was used as the substitute for global schema in traditional process.Resource Description Framework(RDF) and RDF Schema(RDFS) were served as the base for semantic model construction to implement the formal description of semantic relationship.Two-layer mapping method between heterogeneous relation data and the semantic model was adopted to guarantee the transparency access for the heterogeneous data and the scalability of the model.The semantic model has been applied in practice and proved to be effective in building the semantic-consistent global data view.
