Non symmetry of compactly supported wavelets bases and its improvement

A simple proof is given of the non symmetry of compactly supported wavelet bases (except Haar base). The inconvenience of the non symmetry in some applications is discussed before two types of improvement are systematically summarized. We propose an idea for improving its non symmetry by use of several scaling functions, with some examples given.
