Model of Stickies Contents Detection Based on Matlab Image Processing

A detection model for stickies in papermaking was put forward on the basis of Matlab image processing techniques.The pulp containing stickies was made into paper sheet and then scanned into images;the images were analyzed and calculated by using procedures of image analysis and area calculation compiled from Matlab language;after the analysis and calculation,the content of stickies in the pulp would be acquired.The model was analyzed by using the softwood pulp in paper mill as a living example.As a result,rapid and accurate detecting data was obtained so that a useful detection model would be offered for stickies in the actual manufacture.
