Binary Tree-based TIN Structuring

TIN can well show topographically characteristic points and lines. This paper develops a binary tree-based TIN structure on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of TIN storage structures. The mentioned storage structure can effectively capture the topological relations of points, lines and areas, and it has the characteristics of less storage space, easy to edit and retrieve. Experimental results show that the storage structure can support various DTM application analysis.
