Application of quick prototyping in GIS

Since the traditional methods have some limits in developing GIS(Geographical Information System),this paper illustrates the shortage of the traditional development methods applied in GIS,by analyzing the character and requirement of GIS,dissertates the position and function of quick prototyping in the GIS development,narrates briefly the train of thought in developing models using quick prototyping,and analyses particularly the application of quick prototyping in GIS according to the based GIS forest fire prevention system,puts forward a development model befitting GIS system.
