The characteristic of complex target RCS distribution is dependent on aspect angle, and the classical models do not offer detailed results to depict this phenomenon. In this paper, the statistical characteristics of one plane and one helicopter′s RCS dynamic measurement data are studied by using the χ~2 distributing,log-normal distribution and Rayleigh distributing model, along with the Kolmogorov fit test to goodness, the fitting results in some notableness level are acquired by using the three models for different aspect angles for two targets, and the degree of freedom distribution of χ~2 model in all aspect angles is obtained for two targets′ RCS data. The result showed that if the notableness level is equal to 0.05,then for the dynamic RCS data of complex targets recorded in short period of time, better results of goodness of fit can be obtained by using the χ~2 distribution model. The result of this paper describes exactly the fluctuation characteristic of target RCS,and can provide a reliable support to accurate simulation and examining of target′s echo.
