Metadata interoperability is a key problem in data warehouse environment.This paper gives a comprehensive survey on research and application of metadata interoperability technology for data warehousing.It discusses requirements and schema of metadata management,analyzes existing standards for metadata management,and investigates key techniques of repository scheme,exchange methods,change management,and model management.Finally,focuses on the future research topics.
