Hardware Task Schedule Algorithm for Reconfigurable Computing

This paper proposes a hardware task schedule algorithm named RDMS which can reduce data transmission.It takes data dependency among tasks,hardware task resource utilization and inter-task communication into account during the schedule process,and adopts a dynamic programming approach to reduce the communication between microprocessor and FPGA co-processor and the number of FPGA configurations to a minimum.Experimental results show that RDMS can improve the overall performance of hardware tasks assigned to FPGA devices by reducing both the communication overhead and configuration overhead.
