New Characteristics,Collection and Utilization of Restricted Sci-tech Periodicals in Information Age

In order to make better use of restricted sci-tech periodicals,this paper describes the new characteristics of restricted sci-tech periodicals in information age by network investigating,literature analysis and statistical: It is still the important channel of obtaining technology information,external formal specification,trend of industrialization is obvious,involved subject domains are more extensive,and the scope of communion is increasingly expanding.This paper discusses some collection methods such as specially designated person being responsible for particular department,constructing information network,setting up the legal deposit system,manifold ways of collecting.And it puts forward several advices of exploitation and utilization including broadening management policy,compiling searching aids,publishing corpus of special subject information,creating database and website of restricted sci-tech periodicals,etc.
