A Log Security Policy based on Local Database

With the development of information society,security of computer log file is an important part of secure computer use in the information society. This paper analyzes the situation of log research both at home and abroad,explains the importance of logs,and discusses in detail the some existing log protection strategies and their inadequacies,and then proposes a log security policy based on local database. This strategy calls for real-time log extraction and through encryption technology,for storage of the log record in local database,thus preventing the illegal erasure and alteration of the log. Finally this article summarizes the advantages and limitations of this policy.
