A flat multipath routing protocol based on AODV

Change the AODV single-path routing to multi-path routing modifications can improve the fault tolerance and stability of the Ad Hoc network.During the flooding broadcast, when node received the first path request then data will be forwarded,if not the first time then no forwarding. This will avoid routing loops. When data forwarding, with multiple neighboring nodes on the hop, then forming a multiplex transmission. This can avoid path breaking with overload.Simulations are carried out by NS2.The results of the multi-path protocol compared with AODV protocol show that, the end-to-end delay is reduced by 30% ~50% and the node residual energy is increased by 20% ~40%.In addition the throughput comparison, the multi-path protocol makes the energy distribution network is more balanced,so that the stability of the network is improved.
