Color space-based skin color subspace

Detect skin color region is important for face detection in color images. In this paper, the author discusses three skin color subspace in different color spaces: YC bC r, HSV and Unite Color Spaces. Then gives an algorithm to judge whether a pixel in color image is a skin pixel, in three color subspaces. And a novel scheme for candidate face region detection is given. Finally, the author compares the performance of the three color models.
